Pet Documentation Requirements
Live Animal Transport Request must be submitted at least 7 days prior to travel with copies of pet passport, health certificate, rabies antibody test results, entry permit (if required by destination country). This will give Oman Air at least 4 working days to approve or reject.
Vaccination requirements
With a valid anti-rabies vaccination.
The anti-rabies re-vaccination is required every one, two or three years, depending on the vaccine duration. Vaccination must be valid and in effect when travelling (a minimum of 21 days since last shot).
The 21 day restriction does not apply in cases where the new vaccination was administered before the expiration of the last one.

Your pet must be microchipped.
Treated against blood-sucking insects and dewormed 48 hours before departure
The airline recommends arriving at the airport 4 hours before departure with a full set of documents.
In-Cabin Policy – Oman Air accepts pets as checked baggage or cargo only.
Cargo Policy – not pregnant pets, not sedated pets
Permissible weight in cargo – he maximum weight of animal and cage must not exceed 75 kg

Approved pet carrier sizes – The size of the container must not exceed height 80cm, width 85cm and length 150cm.

Restrictions – animals exhibiting sedative or tranquilizing behavior may be refused entry. Animals suspected of being pregnant must be certified fit for travel by a qualified veterinarian.
For the safety of the animals, certain brachycephalic (flat-nosed) breeds of dogs and cats listed below are not permitted for travel.
