Number of pets per passenger
Lufthansa allows only 1 pet per passenger to be transported in the cabin.
Lufthansa allows two pets of the same species per passenger in the same container in the cabin, but only under certain conditions, including a combined weight of no more than 8 kg for the animals and container, and advance booking of the carriage.

Pet Documentation Requirements
All animals must have a veterinary passport with vaccination records
It is recommended to submit a request for transportation of animals no later than 48 hours before departure.

Vaccination requirements

In-Cabin Policy
Cat or dog. If you have a rare pet, you may want to choose another airline from this list that is willing to transport your furry friend.
Permissible weight in the cabin – Maximum weight: 8 kg including carrier
Сost of transportation in the cabin – 50 EUR domestic, 60 EUR internationally within Europe and 80-110 EUR internationally outside Europe

Cargo Policy
Transportation of animals in the cargo hold requires prior booking no later than 72 hours prior to departure.
Permissible weight in cargo – No more than 2 adult animals of approximately the same size weighing up to 14 kg are allowed to be transported in one cage, provided that the animals know each other.
Approved pet carrier sizes – Only soft carriers are accepted: maximum carrier size: 55 x 40 x 23 cm.

Restrictions
All dogs must be at least 12 weeks old, or 16 weeks old for travel to/from the United States
