Pet Documentation Requirements
When you arrive at the airport, you will need to visit the Special Services counter to check in your pet. At check-in, a Delta agent will ensure that your pet and kennel meet the necessary requirements for your trip and collect the required pet fee. Be sure to allow extra time at check-in for us to ensure that your pet is ready for takeoff.
Once you have checked in and have your pet tag, you are ready to proceed through the security checkpoint where you must remove your pet from their kennel.
After the checkpoint, your pet must remain in their kennel while in the airport unless they are in a designated assistance area.

In-Cabin Policy – Cats, dogs and household birds
Permissible weight in the cabin – Maximum weight: No limit, but dog must fit comfortably in carrier under seat.
Сost of transportation in the cabin – $125 ($75 to $200 international)
Cargo Policy – Delta only allows pets in cargo for active US military service members or US State Department Foreign Service Offices employees traveling on official orders.
Approved pet carrier sizes – soft-sided kennel with maximum dimensions of 18” x 11” x 11”
Restrictions – All pets must also be at least eight weeks old for domestic flights. Dogs must be at least six months old and cats must be at least 16 weeks old for flights to the US from another country. Pets must be at least 15 weeks old when flying to destinations in the European Union.
